春风里荡漾起百鸟的啁啾

            你爬上我的窗台，目光炯炯

            长尾款摆，向我致意

            哈，我亲爱的老朋友，见到你真高兴

            我为你点亮台灯，照你光明

            两颗心翕然欢愉，相谈无声

            你可知西山未黛，古风徐来

            众香国里，我独钟水仙

           -

            你说漫长的冬眠过去

            诸事无恙，一切安然

            你要大展身手，为民除害

            这荣尚的事业，一生的追求

            -

              夜渐倦乏，蛙声淡远

              我滑入酣眠，齁声不断

              你依然，捕捉蚊虫

              恪尽职守，任劳任怨.......

Ode To A Gecko

         When the warm wind full of birds cries,

         You climb up my window with shining eyes,

         Wave your tail to greet to me,

         Old friend, see you again with glee.

        -

         I turn on the lamp to give you the light,

         Both hearts feel happy and delight,

         I tell you the wind from the west old brown hills,

         I tell you among flowers the most scent is the daffodils.

        -

You tell me that you hid a winter long,

         Everything is all right and nothing is wrong,

         You catch insects as many as your capability,

         You like your job and consider it as nobility.

        -

         Late at night when frogs faintly peep,

         I feel weary and fall into a snoring sleep,

         But you insist on catching mosquitos to kill,

         You are devoting yourself to your duty still…
